More complex functionality, such as member areas, custom integrations or large catalogues, is assessed individually. Not every Wix or Squarespace feature has a direct WordPress equivalent; where one doesn’t, we tell you in the quote what we’d use instead, or what we’d leave out.

The WordPress version is rebuilt, not transferred at the platform level. Wix and Squarespace themes, their proprietary code and their apps can’t be moved into WordPress, so we recreate what they do. We protect what you’ve built in search with redirects and your existing content, but no one can promise that traffic or rankings won’t change after a rebuild.

A person goes through the site: pages, forms, store, integrations, and what the builder does for you.
We prepare a quote
You get a written conversion quote with the scope, cost and schedule. Nothing starts until you approve it.
We build the WordPress version
Once approved, we rebuild the site on WordPress, recreating its design and moving the content.
We test before launch
Pages, forms, links and redirects are checked, and you review the new site before it goes live.
We coordinate the launch
We plan the switch with you, including your domain, so visitors reach the new site.
Hosting and Website Care, if you want them
Host the new site with us and, optionally, have us look after it with WordPress Website Care.

FAQ
Questions about moving to WordPress
Can you make my new WordPress website look like my existing Wix website?
In most cases we can recreate it closely: the layout, colours, fonts, imagery and navigation. Because the site is rebuilt rather than copied, some details can differ, and we point those out in the quote. You review the new site before it goes live.
Can you rebuild a Squarespace website using WordPress?
Yes. Squarespace sites are rebuilt the same way: we review the pages and features, quote the work, then recreate the design and content on WordPress.
Will my existing content be transferred?
Your page text, images and media come across to the new site, along with blog posts and products where the platform lets them be exported. Anything tied to a builder’s own apps is rebuilt with a WordPress equivalent or replaced, as agreed in the quote. Only content you own or are licensed to use is moved.
What happens to my domain?
Your domain stays yours. If it’s registered with Wix or Squarespace, you can keep it there and point it at the new site, or transfer it elsewhere. We plan the switch with you at launch.
Can I keep my existing business email?
Yes. If your email runs on Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 or another provider, it keeps working: launching the new site only changes the records for the website. If you’d rather have mailboxes at your domain with us, that comes with Shared Web Hosting. Managed WordPress Hosting doesn’t include email.
Will my SEO rankings be affected?
A rebuild changes the platform, so some movement is possible and no one can promise rankings won’t change. We reduce the risk by carrying over your content, page titles and descriptions, and by redirecting your old URLs to the new pages.
Can online stores be rebuilt with WooCommerce?
Often, yes. We look at your products, payments, shipping and any integrations first, then tell you in the quote what WooCommerce can do and what it would take. Larger or more complex stores are scoped individually.
How much does the conversion cost?
Every conversion is quoted individually, in writing, after we review your site. The quote is free and commits you to nothing. A conversion is a separate, paid service: the free migration included with our hosting plans moves existing sites between hosts and doesn’t cover rebuilding a site from a website builder.
How long does it take?
It depends on the size of the site and what it does. Your quote includes the schedule for your project.
Can Blue Arctic host and maintain the completed website?
Yes. We can host the new site on Managed WordPress Hosting or Shared Web Hosting and, if you want, look after it with WordPress Website Care. Both are optional and priced separately from the rebuild.
