Build infrastructure
that matters.
Blue Arctic has been running hosting infrastructure since 2002. We're a small, operations-first team based in Tampa, FL — and we hire engineers who take reliability seriously.
Small team. Real ownership. Serious infrastructure.
We don't scale with headcount. We scale with capability. Every engineer at Blue Arctic has direct impact on how the infrastructure operates — and the customers who depend on it.
Real hardware ownership
We own the hardware in our datacenters. That means real decisions and real responsibility — not managing a ticketing queue to a cloud vendor. When something breaks, you fix it yourself.
Small, expert team
No layers of management between you and the work. We're a small team where everyone contributes directly to what we ship. Your judgment and expertise are trusted.
Tampa, FL based
Our datacenters are here, our team is here, and our clients' infrastructure is physically in our hands. We operate from Tampa and believe in the kind of accountability that comes with presence.
Over two decades of craft
We've been doing this since 2002. The team knows their systems deeply — and the problems we solve are real infrastructure challenges, not manufactured complexity.
Security-first operations
Security isn't an afterthought here. It's built into how we provision, configure, and monitor everything. Engineers who care about hardening and threat response thrive on our team.
Uptime is the metric
We measure ourselves by uptime, response time, and client satisfaction — not growth metrics. Engineers who take reliability personally fit our culture well.
We hire engineers who take reliability seriously.
We're not looking for engineers who manage cloud abstractions. We're looking for people who understand what's happening at the hardware level — and who take pride in keeping systems running.
If you've spent significant time managing Linux servers at scale, understand BGP and networking, and care about security from first principles — we'd like to know you.
- Linux systems engineering experience (RHEL/CentOS/Debian at scale)
- Networking fundamentals: BGP, DNS, routing, firewalls
- Web server stack knowledge (Apache, Nginx, LiteSpeed, cPanel)
- Security hardening and vulnerability management
- Experience managing physical hardware in a datacenter environment
- Clear, written communication — we document everything
- Ownership mentality — you see a problem, you fix it
Current openings.
No open roles at the moment.
We're a small team and we hire deliberately — usually Linux systems engineers and operations specialists who take server reliability personally. When positions open, they fill from direct referrals first.
If running production infrastructure at a company where you can talk directly to the team managing the hardware sounds like the right environment, send a brief note. We keep them on file.
