When to call

Signs your WordPress site has been hacked

Emergency Malware Removal is for a site that is already compromised, on Blue Arctic or any other host.

Google, your browser or a scanner flags it

Visitors see a warning before the page loads, or a security scanner reports infected files.

Your host has warned you or suspended the site

Hosts act on malware they find, sometimes by taking the site offline until it’s cleaned.

Visitors are sent somewhere else

Pages redirect to sites you never linked to, often only for some visitors or only on mobile.

Spam or files you didn’t add

Spam pages, links or injected files appear on the site or in search results under your domain.

How it works

What the cleanup involves

The most common way into a WordPress site is a plugin nobody updated. Removing the malware is half the job; the other half is closing the way it got in.

Order and send access

Order Emergency Malware Removal, then send a WordPress administrator login and file access through the 24/7 client portal helpdesk. Work starts as soon as we have access.

We remove the malware

The infection is cleaned out of the site.

We find how it got in, and close it

We trace the entry point, patch the vulnerability and harden the configuration.

You get the write-up

The job is tracked in your helpdesk ticket, and that is where the write-up of what we found and changed lands.

Price

One flat fee, and what it covers

$199 per incident, paid once. No hosting plan required.

Emergency Malware Removal

We remove the malware, find how it got in, patch the vulnerability and harden the configuration. For a site flagged by Google, your host or a scanner, or one serving spam, redirects or injected files.

$199 per incident · no plan required

Our written guarantee: If we do not successfully remove the malware and secure the identified entry point, we refund the engagement in full.

Keep it from happening again

Website Care looks after the site every month: a person reviews every update before it goes live, malware and vulnerability scans run daily, and malware removal is included at no extra charge. Both plans include hosting and backups.

From $100/mo Starter Care or Premium Care · billed monthly

Hosting only? Managed WordPress Hosting adds Patchstack protection against known plugin and theme flaws.

What this isn’t: Emergency Malware Removal is a one-time job, not ongoing monitoring, which is what Website Care is for. Professional Services sit outside the SLA, so this work carries no uptime service credits, and the 30-day money-back guarantee (a hosting policy) doesn’t apply; the written guarantee above does. Server down rather than hacked? Emergency Server Support is also $199 per incident.

FAQ

Questions

Does my site have to be hosted with Blue Arctic?

No. Emergency Malware Removal is $199 per incident for a site hosted anywhere, with no hosting plan required.

What does the flat fee cover?

One incident: we remove the malware, find how it got in, patch the vulnerability and harden the configuration. The job is tracked in your helpdesk ticket, and the write-up of what we found and changed lands there.

Is there a guarantee?

Yes, in writing: If we do not successfully remove the malware and secure the identified entry point, we refund the engagement in full.

The 30-day money-back guarantee is a separate hosting policy for new Shared Web Hosting and Managed WordPress Hosting customers, and it doesn’t cover Professional Services.

What access do you need, and when do you start?

A WordPress administrator login and file access. Send them through the 24/7 client portal helpdesk. Work starts as soon as we have access.

My site shows a Google warning. Will it go away?

Google’s warnings about a hacked site, in search results or in the Chrome browser, come off after Google reviews the cleaned site. If the site is verified in Google Search Console, the site owner requests that review from the Security issues report once the cleanup is done.

How do I stop it happening again?

Keep WordPress, plugins and themes updated: a plugin nobody updated is the most common way in. Website Care does that for you, with a person reviewing every update, daily malware and vulnerability scans, and malware removal included. For who looks after what on each kind of hosting, see who patches what in managed hosting.

I already host with Blue Arctic. What happens if malware is found?

Malware scanning runs on every plan. On Shared Web Hosting and Cloud Servers, infected files are quarantined automatically, and our engineers review flagged events, clean up what is confirmed and trace how it got in. A site actively distributing malware may be suspended while that work happens. What runs on each product is on the security page.

My site isn’t WordPress. Can you still help?

Ask before you order. Tell us what the site runs through the contact form, and we’ll tell you whether this service fits.
