Blue Arctic charges renewals to the payment method saved on your account, 2 days before each invoice is due. Our service agreement requires you to keep a valid payment method on your account. Update it before your card expires, or whenever you want a different card to pay for your services.

Add or update a card

  1. Sign in to the Client Portal at my.bluearctic.com.
  2. Open the billing section that lists your saved payment methods. If you can’t find it, open a support ticket or call +1 (888) 624-2527 (account questions, Monday to Friday, 8AM to 4PM ET).
  3. Choose to add a new payment method, or to update an existing card.
  4. Enter the card number, expiry date and security code.
  5. Choose the billing address the card is registered to, or enter it.
  6. Save the payment method.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and PayPal. Payments are processed through Stripe. If you want PayPal to pay your renewals, open a support ticket to check that’s possible on your account.

Choose which card pays for renewals

If you keep more than one card, check which one is marked for automatic payments. If you can’t tell, or can’t change it, open a support ticket and tell us the last four digits of the card you want used.

Note

If an invoice is already open, pay it yourself with the new card so it isn’t missed: open the unpaid invoice in the billing section and pay it. See how to pay an invoice.

How to tell it worked

The new card appears in your saved payment methods. After the next renewal, the invoice shows as paid.

Remove an old card

Warning

Add the new card first. If your account has no working card when a renewal is due, the payment fails and the service could be suspended.

  1. Add your new card using the steps above.
  2. If you can’t remove the old card yourself in your saved payment methods, open a support ticket and ask us to remove it. Name it by its type and last four digits only, never the full number.

If you don’t want automatic payments

Renewals are charged to the payment method on file automatically, and our service agreement requires you to keep a valid one on your account. A card that isn’t charged doesn’t cancel a service: its invoices still arrive and still have to be paid. If you want to pay a different way, open a support ticket and ask what’s possible.

To stop a service renewing, cancel it at least 7 days before its renewal date, from the Client Portal or by contacting support. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Troubleshooting

  • The card is rejected when you save it: check that the billing address and ZIP code match what your bank has on file. Then ask your bank whether it blocked the check.
  • A renewal failed after you updated the card: pay the open invoice by hand with the new card. See how to pay an invoice.
  • You can’t find your saved payment methods: check that you signed in with the email address on the account, then open a support ticket.
  • You want to pay another way: call +1 (888) 624-2527 (sales and accounts, Monday to Friday, 8AM to 4PM ET) or open a support ticket.

Still need help?

Open a support ticket from the Client Portal at my.bluearctic.com (see how to open a support ticket). Include the email address on your account, the invoice number if a payment failed, the card type and last four digits only (never the full number), the exact error text, a screenshot and what you already tried. Never put a password in a ticket.
