How to Update Your Account Details
Sign in to the Client Portal at https://my.bluearctic.com, open your contact details and change your name, company, address, phone or email address, then save. If you can't find an option, open a support ticket.
On this page
Keeping your details current makes sure invoices, renewal reminders and service notices reach you. Invoices and notices go to the email address on your account, and an invoice you didn’t receive still has to be paid. You change your details in the Client Portal.
Change your name, company, address or phone number
- Sign in to the Client Portal at my.bluearctic.com.
- Open your account or profile settings from the Client Portal menu.
- Open the page that shows your contact and billing details. If you can’t find it, open a support ticket and tell us what needs to change.
- Update your name, company name, address or phone number.
- Save your changes.
Change your email address
Warning
The Client Portal may keep the email address you sign in with separate from the address that receives invoices and notices. Make sure you can receive mail at the new address before you save, or you could miss invoices or lock yourself out.
Tip
Use an address that isn’t hosted on your Blue Arctic account, such as one from another email company. Then our invoices and warnings still reach you if your website or email has a problem.
- Open the page with your contact details, as above.
- Find the email address field.
- Type the new address carefully, and check it for typos.
- Save your changes.
- If you receive an email asking you to approve the new address, click the link in it.
- Look in your account and profile settings for a second email address setting, and change it too if it still shows the old address.
- Open a support ticket and ask us which address receives your invoices and which one you sign in with.
Change your password
Look for the password option in your account settings. If you can’t find it, sign out, click Forgot? on the sign-in page, and follow the email we send you. See how to sign in to the Client Portal.
Tip
Use a password you don’t use anywhere else. A password manager makes this easy.
Send invoices to someone else as well
If a bookkeeper or colleague should also get billing emails, open a support ticket. Say who should receive them and which emails they need. Don’t share your own login with them.
How to tell it worked
- When you reopen your contact details, the new details are shown.
- If you changed your email address, you can sign in with the address you expect, and we’ve confirmed in your ticket where invoices go.
- Your next invoice should show the new name and address. If it doesn’t, open a support ticket.
Troubleshooting
- A field can’t be changed, or is missing: open a support ticket and say what needs to change.
- You get an error when you save: read the message next to each field. For example, a postal code or phone number may be missing or in the wrong format.
- An invoice you already have shows the old address: open a support ticket with the invoice number if you need it reissued.
- You changed your email address and now can’t sign in: try the old address too. If neither works, email support@bluearctic.com.
- You want to hand the account to someone else: changing the name and email is not enough. Open a support ticket and ask to transfer ownership. See how to transfer account ownership.
Still need help?
Open a support ticket from the Client Portal at my.bluearctic.com (see how to open a support ticket). Include the email address on your account, which detail you’re trying to change, the exact error text, a screenshot and what you already tried. Never put a password in a ticket.
